Rios de bendición/Rivers of blessing

¡LINDO! Recibimos una cantidad de equipos y muebles a travez del Obispo Doug Sider para LAE. Dos hermanos, Dan y su hijo Duane Asbury, buscaron todo en New Holland y nos lo entregaron el sábado por la tarde. Seis personas de LAE mas algunos niños vinieron para ayudarnos a bajar todo.

WOW!! We just received about $10,000 worth of equipment and furniture through Bishop Doug Sider for LAE. Dan and Duane Asbury picked it up in New Holland and delivered it to us Saturday evening. Six LAE people plus several children came to help unload.

Aquí esta lo que recibimos: 22 sillas acolchonadas/padded seats (ya las usamos el domingo diciendo que no se permitia a nadie dormir por lo comodo que son), 176 sillas plegables y 2 carretias, 1 mesclador Peavey de 20 canales, amplificador de seis canales, 2 cornetas/bocinas Yamahas grandes, 2 monitores, 5 estantes de musica (tipo orquestra), 3 parales normal de microfono, 4 parales 'boom' de microfono, un piano electrico con banco (nuevo costó mas de $4,000, lo usamos ya el domingo), una caja de cables de microfono, equipo doble casete, un aparto vhs, una silla de bateria, 1 pantalla de projección 2.45m, caja de cables misc., 2 arboles artificiales de 1.8m, 1 arbol artificial de 1.5m, 2 matas artificiales de 1.2m, 2 matas artificiales en cestas.
Here's what it included: 22 (we already used these Sunday, saying we'd use them but noone was allowed to fall asleep because they were so comforable), 176 folding chairs plus 2 carts, Peavey 20 channel mixer, 6 channel rack powered mixer, 2 large Yamaha speakers, 2 monitors, 5 music stands, 3 standard mic stands, 4 boom mic stands, electric piano w bench (new cost over $4,000, we used this Sunday too), box of mic cables, dual cassette player, vhs player, 1 drum seat, 1 large screen 8', box of misc. extension cable, 2 6' artificial trees (no watering!), 1 5' artificial tree, 2 4' artificial plants, 2 basket artificial plants. ¡Pues, ya estamos listos, solo nos hace falta el nuevo edificio! Les dije a la congregación que si el Señor nos esta enviando sillas El esta preparando para entregarnos gente!

Well, we're ready now, we just need the new building! I told the congregation Sunday that if the Lord is giving us chairs he is preparing to give us people!

Lavatorio de pies/Footwashing

Jueves santo tuvimos un culto de lavatorio de pies. Hasta ahora siempre
acompañamos a nuestra iglesia madre en Dillsburg para este culto, asi que fue la primera vez que hemos hecho nuestro propio culto en la casa iglesia donde nos reunimos.
Thursday of Easter week we held a foot washing service. Up 'till now we have always joined our mother congregation, Dillsburg BIC, for their service, so this was the first time we have done our own service in the house church where we meet.




Yo habia puest 20 sillas pensando que este podria ser la cantidad de personas que llegarian. A la Al seguir el ejemplo de Jesus en este acto de servicio de tanta humildad, se suelta un gran sentir de amor y unidad. Fue especial.
I had put out 20 chairs thinking that might be enough for the number of people we might have out. By the end we had 39 people come and it was a super time.

Following Jesus example in this act of service and such humility, releases a great feeling of love and unity. It was special.

Dios nos cuida/God's protection

Español- Miercoles 8 de abril 09 lleve unas mujeres y niños de tres familias al cuarto de ropa de la iglesia Asamblea de Vida Cristiana, como 40 millas ida y vuelta. Pudimos conseguir buenas cosas necesitadas.
English- Wednesday 4-8-09 I took a load women and children from three families to the clothing room at Christian Life Assembly, about 40 miles round trip. We all were able to pick up some good needed items.

Español- En el camino a casa un ruido comenzó. No pude identificar donde estaba el ruido. Paramos 3 veces para ver cual era el problema, pero no pudimos encontrar nada. Baje de velocidad a 25 mph la ultima milla a la iglesia y cuando entraba al puesto donde estacionamos la van, LA RUEDA ISQUIERDA DELANTERA SE CALLO! La rolinera habia desgastada completamente y la rueda completa se calló del eje.
English- While on the way home a thumping sound developed. I couldn't tell where it was. We stopped 3 times to see what the problem was, but couldn't find anything. I slowed down to 25 for the last mile back to the church and as I pulled into the parking spot at the back, THE FRONT LEFT WHEEL FELL OFF! The bearing had worn away and the wheel and hub fell right off the axel.

Español- Todos bajamos del van para ver que pasó y cuando yo, las mujeres y los niños vieron lo que pasó, todos comenzamos a alabar a Dios y darle gracias por su protección! ¡Gracias Señor!
English- We all jumped out of the van to take a look and when I, the women and the children saw what had happened, we all began to praise the Lord and thank Him for His protection! Thank you Lord!

Comprando un edificio/Buying a building

Español- En diciembre, 2008, miramos al edificio del antiguo Mercado de Comida Smith's como posible local para Centro Luz, Alegria y Esperanza (Iglesia HEC). El Señor facilitó la collección de $50,000 en efectivo y compromisos ¡en menos de dos semanas! Pudimos firmar un contrato para la copra en un precio de $350,000.
English- In December, 2008, we looked at the former Smith's Food Market building as a possible building for the Luz, Alegria y Esperanza Center/BIC church. The Lord facilitated our raising $50,000 in cash and pledges in less than 2 weeks! We were able to sign a contract to purchase the building for $350,000.

Español- El edificio tiene 6200pies2 (576m2) en la planta baja y 2 apartamentos de 1500p2 (140m2) en el segundo piso. Nuestro financiamiento se esta procesando a traves de la Fundacion HEC. Nuestro plan depende de las rentas de los apartamentos ($1,500 mensual) que producirá un ingreso casi $200 menos que el pago mensual de la hipoteca.
English- The building has 6200 ft2 on the main floor with 2 1500 ft2 apartments on a second story at the back. Our financing is being processed through the BIC foundation. Our plan depends on rent from the apartments ($1,500) producing an income approximately $200 less than our monthly mortgage.
